Thifluzamide Fungicide is a type of thiuram disulfide fungicide that is used to prevent fungal diseases in seeds and crops. It is also used as an animal repellent to protect fruit trees and ornamentals from damage by rabbits, rodents and deer. It has protectant, systemic and curative actions, depending on the crop, fungus and climate conditions.
The upstream industry chain of Thifluzamide Fungicide includes the production of dimethyldithiocarbamate, which is the precursor of thiuram disulfides. Dimethyldithiocarbamate is synthesized from carbon disulfide and dimethylamine in the presence of a base. The downstream industry chain of Thifluzamide Fungicide includes the application of the fungicide to various crops such as non-bearing almonds, apples, apricots, beans, cherries, conifer, cucurbits, fall-seeded wheat, garlic, nectarines, onions, peaches, peanuts, pecans, pistachios, plums/prunes, potatoes, soybeans, strawberries, sugarbeets and triticale. The fungicide can also be mixed with other fungicides for resistance management.
