Wind turbine sling, also known as blade sling or wind turbine blade sling, is a special lifting device designed to safely and efficiently handle wind turbine blades during transportation, installation and maintenance. Wind turbine blades are large and heavy, usually ranging in length from 40 meters to 80 meters, and weighing up to 25 tons. Due to the size and weight of wind turbine blades, lifting and handling wind turbine blades is a challenging task, requiring special equipment to ensure the safety of workers and prevent blade damage. Wind slings are usually made of high-strength synthetic fibers such as polyester or aramid. They are designed to evenly distribute the weight of the blades, minimize the stress on the blades and reduce the risk of damage.
