CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) diamond, a mixture of carbon-containing gas (such as methane) and hydrogen is excited and decomposed at high temperature and pressure below standard atmospheric pressure to form plasma carbon atoms, which are deposited and grown on the substrate to form polycrystalline diamond (or controlled deposition growth conditions to deposit and grow diamond single crystals or quasi-single crystals). CVD stands for chemical vapor deposition and is the common name for diamonds grown in the laboratory through the chemical vapor deposition process. This is different from HPHT (high pressure and high temperature), another process commonly used to make laboratory diamonds. Electronic grade CVD diamond is a very pure diamond, and generally at least ppb (total impurity content) values ​​must be less than 10 before it can be used in the production and manufacturing of electronic products.
Compared with ordinary diamonds, electronic-grade CVD diamonds have higher purity and stricter technical requirements.
