Minerals, automobiles, stone, agriculture and textiles are major industries of Chad. In 2017, Agriculture industry contributed 52.3% to GDP of Chad. Manufacturing had a share of 14.7% while services industry had a share of 33.1% of GDP in 2017.
In 2017, vehicles industry exports was valued at USD 2.19 million for Chad. Minerals export accounted for USD 1.06 billion, stones for USD 95.2 million, textiles for USD 19.2 million and agriculture for USD 53 million in 2017.
Chad, officially the Republic of Chad, is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It shares its borders with Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest and Niger to the west. Chad is one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the world; most inhabitants live in poverty as subsistence herders and farmers. Since 2003, crude oil has become the country's primary source of export earnings, superseding the traditional cotton industry.
