Polytetrahydrofuran (PTMEG) would become transparent liquid beyond room temperature. PTMEG-650 is a 650 molecular weight linear polyether diol. As the molecular weight of PTMEG increases, the product strength increases. Products with an average molecular weight of 650-1000 have better elasticity and are mainly used to produce polyurethane elastomers. Products with an average molecular weight of 1800-2000 are mainly used to produce spandex.
