With the development of the pan vacuum industry, aluminum alloy vacuum chambers have been widely used in industrial and scientific research fields, especially in the pan semiconductor industries such as semiconductor integrated circuits, photovoltaics, and display panel manufacturing. The manufacturing of aluminum alloy cavities has become a key core process for the production of photovoltaic semiconductor devices, high-end liquid crystal panel semiconductors, and power semiconductor devices. Despite the many advantages of aluminum alloy, there are still some challenges in the application of aluminum alloy flanges. Realizing ultra-high vacuum typically requires the use of metal seals, such as copper, aluminum, nickel, and other materials for gaskets. However, aluminum has a relatively soft texture and cannot deform copper gaskets to achieve a high vacuum environment. In addition, existing vacuum components based on stainless steel flanges cannot be directly used, especially some functional devices, which greatly limits the application of aluminum alloy chambers. The carbon content in aluminum alloy is lower than that in stainless steel, which can reduce carbon based gas pollution. In addition, aluminum alloy has lower magnetism, and when paired with 316LN stainless steel, it can reduce magnetism in vacuum. If titanium metal is used instead of stainless steel, lower magnetic permeability can be achieved, making it suitable for environments with high magnetic requirements, such as synchrotron accelerators. Meanwhile, the radioactive decay rate of aluminum is much faster than that of stainless steel. After being bombarded by charged particles of the same flux, the residual radioactivity of aluminum is 1-2 orders of magnitude lower than that of stainless steel. The use of aluminum components can reduce the damage generated during the semiconductor circuit manufacturing process.
