

Automotive wet friction clutches are a common clutch type typically found in a vehicle's manual or automatic transmission system. It realizes the functions of clutching and transmitting power by forming friction between the friction plate and the friction plate. The working principle of a wet friction clutch is to inject lubricating oil or transmission fluid inside the clutch to reduce the friction between the friction plate and the friction plate, thereby reducing wear and heat generation, and providing a smoother clutch operation. When the driver depresses the clutch pedal, the hydraulic system will transmit the lubricating oil pressure to the friction plate, causing it to separate from the friction plate, thereby realizing the clutch; when the clutch pedal is released, the friction plate will be pressed against the friction plate, realize transmission. Wet friction clutches are often used in high-performance vehicles or vehicles that require higher transmission torque capacity because it dissipates heat more efficiently and provides greater durability. In contrast, dry friction clutches are commonly used in ordinary passenger cars because of their simple structure and low cost, but their transmission torque capacity is relatively low.
