The economy of Latin America is expected to accelerate in coming years because of favorable external environment, higher commodities prices, low inflation and more accommodative monetary policies. Growth dynamics are stronger than previous years in recent time, the recovery has so far been moderate, and spare capacity continues to linger in the region鈥檚 major players. Also, imbalances are wide, and high fiscal and external deficits threaten to derail the region鈥檚 growth momentum.听
